Happy Holidays!

Well, the year is almost over girls. Can you believe it? Just a note to mention that the deadline for pre-registration (before rates go up again) is coming close. I think the next one is sometime in March...don't quote me on that. I cannot wait for the sewing weekend. I hope you guys can come!

Sewing weekend

Hey girls, I am just updating to say that the weekend for sewing is Dec. 30-31. I hope as many of you can make it as possible. Arrive at my house around noon (if earlier, e-mail or call me so my sisters and Joey are not naked, tee hee) on Saturday and we'll set up camp in the living room. Lyndsey, if you could bring some FMA, that would be great, I need to see the movie in order to get going on my Noa costumes. I have a couple of patterns picked out for the ball gown, but I need to see the full dress she wears on the screen and take some photos of it. If any of you needs to contact me, you can click my profile up in your right hand corner of the screen and there should be some way to contact me there.

See you later!

Hotel rooms

Now here's an awesome group from AB '05. I had to be quick though because one of the guys was afraid they were going to get bogged down by a hundred camera happy Con-goers. Their costumes still rocked. For those who are thinking "I have the name of the anime on the tip of my tongue..." it's the movie, "Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz."

Anyway, the real reason for this post is that I booked the hotel rooms and the woman, Christine (awesome lady), made sure that she put in the request that I want them joined. She said that I am going to have to duke it out with the front desk when I get there though. Whoever is riding down with me...plan on being at my place early, or ready for me to pick you up like around noon because check-in time is at 3p. Did you notice that they are charging us like three dollars more per day AND check-out time is at 10a?! What stinks is that, they probably had to do that because of the swarthy people who trash their room = the hotel needs extra staff that weekend and an extra hour to get the hotel rooms back in order. Rats for us. Anyway, I have until Monday, April 16th at 5p to (safely) cancel a room. That is the point of no return, people. As I like to tell the staff when they remind me of that policy, "Someone (I like) will have to die in order for me to miss this convention." That is the only excuse I will accept after that date. Of course, seriously, what other excuse is there? Sorry, someone on their deathbed is a good excuse. But those are the only things that could out-prioritize the weekend. Although, I am not skipping a class (the school made it required attendance, can you believe that?!) on Saturday, I will still be back.

As a final note, I am warming up to the idea of cosplaying as Noa from the Full Metal Alchemist movie. I am enticed by the opportunity to fight over random Ed's with Rachel and any other Winry I see. Ah yes, let us begin the seduction of Edward Elric (Lyndsey). I need to watch that movie in order to beat the crap out of Winry (a.k.a. Rachel) nyheheheh.

Ed & Winry's (belated) Halloween Special

Here are some photos of Lyndsey & Rachel when they dressed up for Halloween. Lyndsey made a new coat for her Ed costume and Rachel carried a real wrench around for the day (appropriate).

FYI: commitment

Does this photo not rock?! I smudged the background because it took away from the coolness in front.

Hey, should we have an absolute cut off date for people who decide they no longer want to go? For hotel room purposes. I have not done the reservation yet (clock is ticking), but I just want to know what the body count is before the hotel whacks my credit card in early April (at the latest). BTW, Lyndsey, I still love watching "Atonement." You did a really good job on it.

Let's Finalize

So far everyone seems to be okay with the weekends, we just need to settle on a date. Personally, I would like to do it the weekend after Christmas (Dec. 30-31, the weekend before New Year's Day), but I understand if people cannot do that. I am really not sure about Jan. 6-7 because of family stuff, now. I will let you guys know soon if that weekend is going to be out of the question.
Oh, and Eliza? Can you e-mail me? I lost your e-mail address when I switched from Adelphia to Comcast (they forced me to do it, Adelphia was bought out). Thanks.

Cosplayers Dancing to "Cotton Eye Joe"

"VenomSpawn" said "I took this video during Anime Boston 2006. This took place after Cosplay Chess ended. (I don't think too many of them know the dance.)"

>fidget<

Isn't she cute?

Can I just say that I am already TOTALLY excited for AnimeBoston!!!!!! I got this way last year, too. I just cannot wait for it!!! I must say that, this weekend event is the highlight of my year, and it comes every year!!! I am going to be going to this convention even when I am old and grey!!!! WoooHooo!!! >does happy dance< I am stoked about the sewing weekend because it means we are so much closer!!!!!! I still do not know what I am going to cosplay as, I am not going to go as Rukia (although I REALLY want to) because there are going to be so many. I was thinking about Noa (FMA movie) to go along with Ed and Winry. Is anyone else going to do an FMA character? I guess I have to go get the movie and watch it with my camera in hand for the costumes. Anyway, I just wanted to convey my EXTREME EXCITEMENT. I know the Con' isn't until April '07, but you girls cannot tell me you are not already thinking about it...? Seriously, am I the only one who considers an anime con' to be the highlight of her year? Well, decide on the sewing weekend girls and let me know by e-mail or post!!

No, I am not on drugs. Drugs are bad!!!!

Sewing Weekend

Don't you guys love me?

Okay, you girls, do any of you want to come up here for a sewing weekend again? It would have to be either Dec. 30-31 or Jan. 6-7 or (tentatively) Jan.13-14. We shall do the same thing as last year, sew, laugh, get distracted, sew.... Anyway, Let me know what the general concensus is and we shall set the date! As a side note, Eliza, if you want to make a costume I would be more than happy to help you & you can totally use my machine that weekend. Just let me know what you want to do & we'll work something out, okay? I decided after last year, when Candice bought her sewing machine, that I can help you to sew as well. It will be fun, just don't pick anything TOO hard! Well, let me know what is best for you girls (Sara, Rachel, Candice, Eliza, Lyndsey). I am also going to give Jenna a call, she may want to come with us this year. We shall see. Let me know what you guys think, ASAP. Either e-mail me or post a comment under this blog post.
