Well, ladies, it's time! Time to pre-register! WAHOO! I just checked the site and it said that pre-registering was available, so I wasted no time!

You know, I was looking for a picture to add with this note, and realized that there are shockingly few pictures of Eliza. We're going to have to do something about that this year, Eliza. NO HIDING FOR YOU! We need to take more group photos that actually have, oh I dunno, the whole group in them.

Hey, are we planning on doing a skit or walk-on or anything else? Granted, it's still kind of early to be thinking about it, but what the heck. I still need a ball gown. *sigh*

More men need to watch anime. There are not enough guys who can relate to the magic of a relationship. Or, at least they are no longer pretending like they did in the 40s. From what I have seen (in my sociology classes, eight of them, almost a minor in college) it has been all down hill since the 50s. Oh, and the excuse "women killed chivalry" is a stupid excuse because I have yet to meet a woman who will refuse a man opening a door for her. It is a wide-spread myth that I believe was perpetuated by men so they could slack off. Also, women need to leave men alone a little more, that way, men can do the stupid, disgusting, manly stuff with their man friends and women do not have to listen to it. I am not saying we need to go back to the pre-40s era, I just think there are some things that should be preserved by culture. I think we should abolish the stupid, demeaning cartoons of today (of which I cannot think of any names because I am disgusted by the lack of intelligence in some of them) which play us all for patsies and I can actually hear brain cells scream in agony; and I think we should instead institute more anime in the mainstream market. We need to snag them at BIRTH, damn it! Maybe I am just living in a dream world. At least I know I will not become a spinster with a bunch of cats....I have anime instead of the stupid cats.

I thought that this photo of Candice may express her feelings as to the superhero she is destined for. Yes, I must agree, Captain Marvel is kinda scary looking...I am not sure what he does either, other than being a really good motivational speaker. I love the Pretear idea for the ball. Also, that is so exciting that Candice is drafting people to come share the Anime Boston experience! Those are always the best people to have along becuase everything is so new to them! It's like experiencing everything for the first time >sigh< Like I want to do that again. I just want to impart the measly knowledge that I do possess upon those who would benefit from it. We need those bodies!

I am all for the halloween thing, Sara, I just need to get a costume together. We shall see what life brings before the 20th of October (that is when it is supposed to happen, dui?). When do we have to have a definite answer for that weekend? Anyhoo, what does the Anime Boston 2007 body count stand as currently (for hotel rooms)? Me, Lyndsey, Candice, Eliza, Sara, Rachel...that is 6. Awfully tight for one hotel room, but not enough to justify a second room. I would feel good about getting two more bodies at least, then we would have 4 in each room. I have no one left to tap, so it is up to you guys to rustle up some people. Let us just remember that we need to make sure that the people we find are mature and not going to do anything to damage the room or our stuff, because I would be SUPER pissed. Speaking as the person who is putting her name on the rooms, I am not above rage & just remember that this time next year, I will be a licensed attorney & I have Eliza. FEAR ME!!! No offense, Eliza, you just have that "special touch" when it comes to mayhem & destruction. I admire that quality.

Okay you guys, remember, if someone wants to get to know us, you can just send them here & read what we are like (crazy). If that does not sell someone on the idea of going to Anime Boston 2007, I do not know what will!!

You scored as Captain Marvel.

You would marry CAPTAIN MARVEL! He is just a teenager inside, but he also has a teen's sense of humor and optimism. He will never let you down, as long as you don't say that one word that deflates him.

Okay, I'm horrified. Who the smeg is Captain Marvel?! Not that I haven't heard of him, but I don't know anything about him. And I don't know about you, but I'm rather frightened by his picture. Heaven help me.

I think we should definitely do a sewing weekend after Christmas. I'll probably need it, considering I haven't touched a thing since coming home from Anime Boston. I don't know if anyone has given more thought to Sara's idea in October, but I won't be able to come for that. :( It sounded like a fun thing to do though.

I may have some more people for us to hang out with at AB07. I've already told my friend Karin she's coming with me whether she likes it or not, and my friend April and her husband Joel might come down too. I'm pumping them all full of anime to get them interested.

As for ball dresses...I'm thinking either a Pretear outfit, or maybe Deedlit's dress that she wears to the party???

These were taken at Otakon 2005. I have been wondering when I should put them up, and I thought now would be good seeing as how Otakon 2006 just ended on the 6th. My absolute favorite is the one with the Ninjas, are they from Nauruto? Or are they just taking vague Nauruto characters and putting their own spin on them? Whatever, I love the costumes & aura they had. The other two are pretty cool as well. People can get pretty darn creative when it comes time for an Anime Convention.
This is so awsome & so me! Batman is the best superhero EVER!!! Take the test girls, I am curious as to what you guys end up with...

You scored as Batman. You would marry BATMAN! You like a guy who has more than one facet to his character. Just don't let him know you're after his money, or he will speak with his fist!

We can be cute and curious at the same time. What was out that window you guys were looking at? I just thought it was cute that the three of you were there looking out, silhouetted by the light coming in.

I am still thinking of formal gowns to wear. I am totally excited! What other costumes are you guys looking into making? I have to finish the Li/Meilin costumes, as well as my Hana costume, then the death god costume...or should I make Rukia's schoolgirl costume because I really want to write the "Say anything & you're so dead" on my hand & find an Ichigo to show it to. I have to figure out how to make a breakable sword.

My classes start this coming week so I will be able to resume a normal sewing schedule of every Friday morning. I am going to try to do more, but we will see. I also have a dress that I am making for Alyssa (sister) so she can model it for me. She was like, "Sure I'll model it for you if I get to keep the dress." I took her up on that offer. I have it mostly cut out, but it is really difficult becuase it is white satin & slips all over. I am so nervous about that. By the way, Lyndsey, I have like 4 bolts of satin here that I meant to give you at AB '06 but forgot (you left them here in January), we will have to hook up and make a pass of the baton.

Do you guys want to do another sewing weekend after Christmas? This time we teach Eliza to sew. Hear that Eliza? You better think of some things you might want to do for a costume and we're going to do our best to work on it. If Candice can do pleats one of her first times sewing, you can too, you are just as capable. I am very impressed with the costume Candice did and I know Eliza can pull off a costume. Unless she wants to be something that is out of my hands, then we direct her to Lyndsey to start with the welding and other crazy stuff like that.

What would you guys think if we invited Kyle to join us? I know that he hasn't been able to go the past couple of years and i think he was kinda bummed
Lemme know what you guys think

Also, a couple of series that have formal wear: Cowboy Bebop (Faye's red evening dress) and Love Hina (princess Naru) I'll have to check on the episode numbers. I have both series so if anyon wants to borrow them

A formal ball at Anime Boston 2007?!?!?!? >gasp< that sounds so awsome!!! I have to find a character that has a ballgown....wow, it's harder than I thought....What do Ed & Winry's formal costumes look like? Are they from the movie? >gasp< I have it!!! Sakura or Tomoyo from the 2nd movie!!!! Okay, Sakura wears A LOT of pink, but she's dressed as a princess!!!! ugh. Anyway, that sounds soooo much better than a rave. I cannot wait!! Geez, it sure is hard to think of characters who wear formal costumes...can anyone else think of any. Relena from Gundam Wing, um...dang. That's all I've got, for now.
You know what? We need a group photo.....
Van Fanel:

I love this photo of our resident uber-otaku, Lyndsey (a.k.a Kiarrens). She made the wings and the way the light just comes through them in this photo is very nice. You can always count on Lyndsey to find a way to out-do herself and amaze the rest of us.

Here is a blog where we (the adorable otakus that we are) may plan how the heck we are going to get together (generally anime related). Now we do not have to worry about leaving someone off the e-mail list (sorry guys). I posted some images from Anime Boston 2006.
Let the blogging begin.
